The Mineral Specialist (Kelso) is who converts Crystallized Abyssalite into Abyssalite Fragment. He also combines 5 Fragments into 1 Abyssalite and breaks the Abyssalite back into 5 Fragments.

Kelso opens an exchange shop where 30 Crystallized Abyssalites turn into 1 Abyssalite Fragment. The number of fragments to create is chosen directly in the shop interface.
The Abyss Lapidary, in the Cheffenia lobby, opens this same shop.
