Getting Started

Introduction

Welcome to ReClassic! This guide follows a newly arrived player from the first spawn on the Novice Grounds to the first meaningful rewards from the Eden Group, the server's hunting mission hub for beginners. ReClassic's early progression is linear and friendly:
  1. Novice Grounds: introductory tutorial with a small welcome gift.
  2. Class Guild: you choose your class and receive starting equipment.
  3. Eden Group: central hub for beginners, with a Mission Board, Shopkeeper, and the free Hunter Set from level 10 onward.
  4. First missions: the Eden Board offers hunts for specific targets on set maps, rewarding Base EXP, Job EXP and Hunting Coins.

1. Novice Grounds

Your journey begins on the tutorial map new_1-1. Explore the training area: it's where you learn to use the interface, try your first skills, and meet other newly arrived players. Supplies via RodEx: upon reaching level 10, the Adventurers' Guild automatically sends a welcome package through RodEx (the internal mail system) with items to support the start of your journey. Additional packages arrive at levels 30, 45, 60, 80 and 99.

When you feel comfortable with the basics, go to the exit gate and talk to the Staff Member. He asks if you want to move on to the next part of the training, answer Yes to proceed.

2. Class and Guild Choice

When you leave the Novice Grounds you arrive in a covered room where Hanson asks which profession you want to follow. The options are Swordman, Mage, Archer, Thief, Merchant and Acolyte (the latter sends you to Prontera Church, the Acolyte's path):
Hanson offers the four base classes for your first step as an adventurer.

Tip: if you want to try different builds before committing, the Forgetful Mage resets stats and skills for free up to level 55. Above that level, she still resets skills only, as long as you remain a 1-1 class. After choosing, you're directed to your Class Guild. An NPC from the guild prepares you for real adventurer life: an initial blessing, specific guidance, and already activates the starting bonuses:
The Guild prepares the character with buffs and guidance before the first hunt.

Next, the NPC hands over the class's starting equipment: a weapon or basic Glove that you'll use in your first hunts. Equip it right away.

3. Arriving at the Eden Group

After the Guild, you're sent to the Eden Group, the central hub for beginners, accessible through Prontera. At the headquarters, the Eden Secretary signs you up as a member and hands over the Eden Badge, a permanent item that lets you return to the headquarters at any time.

Inside the headquarters you'll find:
  • Mission Board: displays rotating hunting missions with rewards in Base EXP, Job EXP and Hunting Coins.
  • Eden Shopkeeper: trades Hunting Coins for equipment and hands out the Hunter Set (Novice tier free from level 10, Expert at 30, Superior at 60).
  • Hostess Edina, the in-house Kafra (storage and save point) and the Supplies Vendor (potions, arrows, gemstones).

4. Taking Missions from the Board

The Eden Mission Board always has 5 fixed missions available per level range. The order they appear in the menu rotates every hour. Each mission asks for two things:
  1. Defeat a specific number of a type of monster.
  2. Collect an item those monsters drop.

When you accept, you see the target, the number of kills, the item to collect, the map and the rewards (Base EXP, Job EXP and Hunting Coins). The board can also teleport you to the map of the mission, once per acceptance.

The boards are split by level range: 10–35, 26–50, 41–70, 71–98 and 90–99. Each range has its own pool of monsters and maps. The full table with monsters, items and rewards is at Eden Group Missions.

Cooldown: each individual mission can only be repeated 12 hours after being completed.

5. Hunting and Collecting

With the mission active, go to the indicated map (use Kafra to teleport or take advantage of the one-time Teleport offered by the board itself) and hunt the requested monsters. Each kill:
  • Counts toward the mission's counter.
  • Gives normal Base EXP and Job EXP.
  • May drop the collection item required by the mission.
Hunting Coin, the Eden Group's special currency received upon completing missions, used to trade with the Shopkeeper.

Besides the normal rewards, there's a chance of getting an Eden Scroll as a random bonus item, a consumable that grants temporary 3-minute buffs: Aura Blade lv5, Recognized Spell lv5 or Kyrie Eleison lv10. Party tip: use the @party command and the #party chat to find a party in your level range. Hunting in a party speeds up collecting a lot.

6. Turning In Missions and Earning EXP

Once you've defeated all the monsters and collected the items, the mission can be turned in two ways:
  • Eden's Mission Board: standard turn-in, normal rewards.
  • Field Helper: an NPC found on the mission's own map. On the first turn-in of each map through the helper, the player gets a +50% bonus on that mission's rewards. From then on, the standard value applies.

The rewards piled up from the first missions are usually enough for frequent Job Level Ups:
JOB LV UP received right after turning in a mission on the map.

As your level rises, the board starts offering missions from the higher ranges (26-50, 41-70, 71-98, 90-99), with growing rewards and increasingly stronger monsters:
Natural progression, missions from the higher ranges on more challenging maps.

7. Using Hunting Coins

The Hunting Coins you've built up are spent with the Eden Shopkeeper:
  • Hunter Set Upgrade: Expert Set at level 30 (30 Coins) or Superior Set at level 60 (60 Coins). Each upgrade replaces every piece of the previous set (armor, footgear, hood, ring, clip) with stronger versions, and the weapon is updated according to your class. All pieces have 0 weight and are non-tradable.
  • Battle Equipment: individual pieces (Adventurer's Suit, Mantle, Shoes, Necklace, Ring) that each give +3% EXP received. The full set adds up to a +15% EXP bonus. 350 Coins per piece.
Trading with the Eden Shopkeeper, Hunter Set upgrade or buying Battle Equipment.

With the set upgraded and the EXP bonus active, you're ready to move into Eden's higher ranges and into the 2nd job change once you reach the required level.
