Super Novice

The Super Novice
The Super Novice
The Super Novice is the ultimate class of the Novice: instead of choosing a profession, it decides to never stop learning. It's the only class that can use the first class skills of ALL classes: it can heal like an Acolyte, attack with bolts like a Mage, use Mammonite like a Merchant, and still land a Bash like a Swordman. In exchange, it has a maximum class level of 99 (base) and is fragile. It's a niche class, made for those who want versatility and a challenge. General class reference guide. ReClassic applies its own rebalance to several skills, so some builds and skills may vary compared to classic Ragnarok.

Becoming a Super Novice

Requirements:
  • Be an Novice (must not have changed class)
  • Class level 10
  • Base level 45: this is the requirement that trips up most people, you'll still need to level quite a bit as a Novice
  • Have the items from the list below
The quest involves just one NPC: Tzerero, in Al De Baran (`aldeba_in,223,167`).
StepWhat to do
1Talk to Tzerero (aldeba_in,223,167) and agree to join the Novice Club.
2Gather the items: 30 938.png Sticky Mucus and 30 907.png Resin.
3Return to Tzerero with the items. He plays a prank in the middle of the conversation ("What's that behind you!?"), you can answer anything, there's no wrong answer. He then turns you into a Super Novice.
Where to farm the items: Since you'll need to reach base level 45 as a Novice anyway, there's plenty of time to gather both items along the way.

What the Super Novice Can Do

The Super Novice has access to the first class skills of every class: the whole range.
OriginSkill examples
SwordmanBash, Bowling Bash, Endure, Provoke
MageFire Bolt, Cold Bolt, Lightning Bolt, Fire Wall, Safety Wall
ArcherArrow Shower, Improve Concentration
MerchantMammonite, Discount, Overcharge, Cart
AcolyteHeal, Increase Agility, Blessing, Teleport, Sanctuary
ThiefDouble Attack, Hiding, Enchant Poison
In practice: the most common build uses Blessing and Increase Agility on itself, Sanctuary to tank, and the Mage's bolts for damage: a "jack of all trades" that gets by on its own. Limitation: the Super Novice's class level only goes as far as the base level allows, and it never advances to a second class. What you see is what you get.
